Do you know what it’s like to see a sea of eager faces as you read from your book at a bookstore?
A couple of weeks ago I had the total, awe-inspiring privilege of standing in front of a crowd of about 100 people and announcing the names of The Narrative Project’s new PUBLISHED authors as they got up to read from True Stories, Volume 2–our new anthology.
Pride and relief fairly wafted off of them as they crossed the finish line of their publishing journey. They’d written, revised, revised, revised, proofed, and marketed thier work. And now to stand in front of an audience and claim it as their own!
I remember my first public reading, and I have to say there is NOTHING like seeing your work in print and knowing it is touching readers.
