I was eight years old the first time I wrote a poem.
That first little rhyming ditty was crafted in response to the massive emotions I felt standing next to the Pacific Ocean for the first time in my life. And I can STILL remember the relief—the utter RELEASE of emotion—I experienced finding words to describe my overwhelm and awe at the noise and majesty I experienced standing next to the world’s largest body of water. Of my smallness in the presence of its EVERYTHING.
Shortly after writing that poem, I announced to everyone that I would grow up to be a writer.
Thirty-five years later I published my first book!
And I can honestly tell you that the only feeling that ever rivaled holding that book in my hands for the first time was the feeling of my introduction to the Pacific 35 years earlier.
But it took me 35 years to figure out how to write, revise, pitch, sell, and get a book to publication.
How long have you been dreaming about holding your book in your hands?
Let us help you get there, writer. It doesn’t have to take YOU as long as it took ME.
We have THREE spots left in our Get-Your-Book-Done Program. You need only reply to this email and we’ll reach out to you to interview you for our 2021 cohort. What are you waiting for?
We close the doors on March 31.
