Podcasts as Platform – November 1

$27.00

November 1 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. PST

The world of podcasting is a breakthrough opportunity for writers, whether they’re hosting them, listening to them, or being a featured guest on them. With hundreds of thousands of new books published each year, it’s hard for authors to get notice for our books, ideas, and causes. While traditional media, social media, live events, and publishing articles are all still vital elements of every writer’s publicity and marketing, the exploding world of podcasting is a new and invaluable opportunity to gain visibility. Hosting a podcast is a huge investment of time, energy, and money, but an option for some authors to consider. Being a guest on podcasts is becoming a must and a not-to-be-missed opportunity. Whether you want to create your own podcast, or you simply want to be a sought-after guest, podcasting is the newest, and best opportunity to add a plank to your writer’s platform.

In this 90-minute virtual class participants will:

  • Learn the wonderful, the terrible, and sometimes expensive truth about hosting a podcast.
  • Discover podcast listening as a way to gain support, information, and inspiration for their writing
  • Gather tips for finding podcasts that want them as guests
  • Discuss tips for being a desirable podcast guest
  • Learn a few ways to be a major pain to podcast hosts so you’ll never get invited back
